Albin Siggesson (b.1992, Örebro) is a Swedish self-taught photographer and visual artist based in Ålesund. Before becoming an artist, Siggesson had a promising career as a footballer – a career he gave up when he moved to Oslo in 2011. To fill the overwhelming emptiness, the search for something that gave life meaning began.

As Siggesson's focus shifted from football to art, his fascination with contradictions and human interaction was transferred to the painterly format.
With a sensitive appearance, people, objects and events from his own life are depicted, building on stories that have already unfolded or are unfolding at the moment. Through dark undertones and an exploratory look, Siggesson's fascination for the beautiful and the devilish inside us is reflected.

In recent years, Siggesson has experimented with various techniques in visual art and designed a distinctive painterly expression.
His works can be described as exploratory and expressive with irregular lines and compositions.


Using various materials such as acrylic, grease markers and ink, Siggesson creates colorful motifs that depict everyday scenes, people and objects. The result is a playful approach to often serious themes that the viewer can relate to.
In this way, Siggesson reflects on the human frailty that is inherent in all of us, without it becoming obvious or predictable.
Siggesson's work is experienced as a free space without fixed boundaries.
