"Ballroom" (70x100cm)

The prom in high-school. People arrived in cool cars. Wearing sunglasses. The sky was cloudy. They looked stupid. At least that’s what I cursed to myself. I turned down the whole thing mainly because I wouldn’t have a new suit. MY suit. A too big, too wide suit in a cheap-ass material awaited me in the closet in my familys house, the one to the right when you enter the main entrance.

“I won’t go if I don’t have the nicest suit. The cutest date”. Jokes on me. I had neither. We got drunk and acted like we did not care at all. When I saw the pictures from the venue afterwards, I just knew. I’m an idiot.
